Via the letter, the command congratulated and praised the delegation, led by Naval Captain Trinh Xuan Tung, Deputy Commander of the Navy Region 4, and the naval fleet for completing an eight-day sea journey and performing its external defense relations activities in Russia.

The delegation’s achievements have contributed to promoting the heroic traditions of the VPN in overcoming difficulties. The VPN also took part in a fleet review in celebration of the 325th anniversary of the Russian Navy.

The VPN’s participation in the Russian fleet review amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic affirmed the sincere affection and support of the Vietnamese Defense Ministry and VPN towards international events hosted by the Russian Defense Ministry and Navy. It also showed the VPN's modern naval platforms to international friends.

In addition, the VPN also asked the delegation and the naval fleet to promote its achievements and actively overcome challenges while conducting training for and competing at the upcoming 2021 Army Games.

* On the same day, the Naval Region 4 Command also acknowledged and applauded the achievements of the two frigates during the fleet review in Russia, asking them to make good preparations for the 2021 Army Games with absolute safety.

Preserving and maintaining weapons and technical equipment 

Earlier, on July 13, the delegation and two VPN frigates, the 015-Tran Hung Dao and 016-Quang Trung, left Cam Ranh Port for Vladivostok city to complete their assigned missions. The ships then worked closely with the Russian Navy for a mooring buoy task while ensuring COVID-19 prevention and control.

The active participation of the two frigates in the fleet review has contributed to affirming the support of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense as well as the VPN for international events held by the Russian Defense Ministry and Navy.
