Literature and arts works on Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia relations awarded
PANO – One hundred and thirty three works on Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia relations were awarded at the closing and awarding ceremony of the literature and arts composition campaign, themed “Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Fighting Solidarity” held by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on January 18 in Hanoi.

Launched in March, 2017, the campaign attracted the active participation of officers and former combatants from the three countries. The organizers received 1,707 works of different genres, including literature, fine arts, music, documentaries and photos from 791 participants.
Among 133 awarded works, there are 50 works of the Vietnamese, 40 of the Lao and 43 of the Cambodian participants. Apart from the first, second, third and consolation prizes, the Ministry of National Defense presented certificates of merit to three groups and five individuals, while the General Department of Politics granted certificates of merit to 12 groups and nine individuals in acknowledgement of their contribution to the success of the campaign.
According to the organizing panel, entries met requirements of the campaign and many of them were valuable in contributing to popularizing and consolidating long-lasting relations among the three countries
As planned, the organizers will work with the two countries’ armies to hand over prizes to Lao and Cambodian participants in January.
