Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue are two central provinces heavily affected by the recent floods and storms.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel SamLy KeoVongSon, Commander of the Salavan provincial Military Command shared sympathy over the losses caused by the natural disasters with the leadership, people, and troops of Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue provinces. He said that the gifts may not be worth much in value, but they demonstrated the sentiment of troops of the Salavan provincial Military Command for their Vietnamese peers and a source of encouragement for them to overcome difficulties to fulfil all assigned missions.

On the occasion, the Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue provincial Military Commands and Border Guard Commands also presented gifts to the Salavan provincial Military Command.

The gifts demonstrated the solid solidarity between the Vietnam People’s Army and the Laos People’s Army, contributing to cementing the special friendship between the two countries.
