The PAMS-42 will have three plenary sessions with topics of ground forces’ initial responses to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR), multilateral cooperation in HADR, and enhancing roles of regional cooperation in HADR.
Vietnam’s co-chair of the PAMS-42 is expected to help boost friendship, understanding and trust between the VPA and other countries’ armies. It also demonstrates the VPA’s activeness and high sense of responsibility for regional common issues.
On the occasion, the involved parties will discuss measures to strengthen cooperation among regional armies in order to cope with threats posed by natural disasters, contributing to maintaining regional stability.
Also in Hanoi, the USARPAC will chair the fourth Senior Enlisted Leaders (SEL) Forum during the PAMS-42.
