Vietnam, Pakistan strengthen defense cooperation
PANO - Incoming Pakistani defense attaché to Vietnam, Colonel Syed Muhammad Hasnain hoped that Pakistan and Vietnam will soon reach a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on bilateral defense cooperation.
The Pakistani officer expressed the hope during a courtesy reception given to him by Major General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, on July 11 at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.

At the meeting, General Tien spoke highly of the positive development of the bilateral defense ties over the past time. He asked Colonel Syed Muhammad Hasnain, in his new post, to make practical contribution to cementing the bilateral defense ties in a more pragmatic and effective manner.
For his part, the Pakistani officer thanked the host for a warm reception and stressed that the early signing of the aforementioned MoU would provide a good foundation for the two sides to expand bilateral defense cooperation in the time to come.
