In four days, September 18-21, three PAMS-41 and two PACC-10 plenary sessions were held, discussing the shared theme of “United Efforts: Building Civil-Military Partnerships in Land Force Response to Non-traditional Security Threats.”

PAMS-41 created a forum for high-ranking army officers of armies in the Pacific region to exchange notes about cooperation between military and civil forces in dealing with non-traditional security threats arising in the Asia-Pacific region and the world at large. The seminar also helped promote research, analysis and exchange of experiences under the theme, while providing a chance for expanding relations among leaders of armies and security forces in the region.

At the closing ceremony, the organizing panel handed over the PAMS-42 hosting flag to Vietnam. The PAMS-42 activities, relating to the role of armed forces in search and rescue, humanitarian aid and natural disaster consequence relief, will be co-organized by the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and the US Pacific Command.
