French Navy’s frigate visits Da Nang city

The welcoming ceremony was hosted by the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang city. The event saw the attendance of leaders of the Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of National Defense, the Commands of Military Region 5 (MR5), Naval Region 3, Coast Guard Region 2, and others.

For the French part, French defense attachés and officials of the French Embassy in Vietnam attended the event.

During the visit to Da Nang city, Lt. Col. Drouelle, along with 98 officers and sailors, will pay courtesy visits on leaders of the city, the MR5 Command and the Naval Region 3 Command. Meanwhile, the French frigate will conduct a joint exercise with the Vietnamese coast guard ship after the visit.

Over the past time, the defense cooperation between Vietnam and France has been unceasingly fostered, obtaining positive results. The visit by the French naval ship will contribute to accelerating the cooperation between the two navies and the bilateral defense relations in a deeper and more effective and practical manner.
