On the occasion, Second-in-Command of the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Vuong Truong Nam hoped to boost coordination with Mondulkiri’s Public Security Department in exchanging information, fighting crimes, and preventing and controlling illegal border crossings. The units agreed to further maintain and promote cooperation in border protection as well as bolster solidarity and friendship.

During the event

For his part, Colonel Tran Trong Binh from the Dak Lak provincial Public Security Department held that in the coming time, both public security forces would effectively implement cooperation agreement in the fight against crimes and ensuring security in the two provinces. Especially, the two sides will closely work in information sharing and ensuring social order and security before, during and after the election of the seventh Cambodian National Assembly.

In turn, Deputy Director of Mondulkiri’s Public Security Department Colonel Sun Bun Thuon thanked the Vietnamese side for their practical support, emphasizing the importance of the assistance for the Cambodian units, especially during the on-going rainy season.

He also affirmed that the Cambodian side would further coordinate with the Dak Lak provincial armed forces so as to firmly protect national sovereignty in border areas as well as border security of each side.
