Press agencies to further raise public awareness of border protection
PANO – The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) on April 25 held a conference to disseminate policies on national border protection among reporters.
The trainees were equipped with information on border demarcation and marker planting work, building a shared border of peace and cooperation, current issues on border areas, and laws on building, managing, and protecting national borders.

At the same time, the event affirmed the importance of early stabilization of arising matters along shared borderlines as well as strictly observing regulations in border areas.
In his speech, Mr. Ho Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the MIC’s Department of Legal Affairs, underlined that over the past time, press agencies across the country have effectively disseminated and popularized the message of border protection for the whole people.
Reporters are considered an important force in further spreading laws and policies on border protection, in order to raise public awareness of safeguarding national sovereignty over borders, sea and islands, he added.
