Deputy defense minister receives Lao military delegation
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Deputy Minister of National Defense, received a delegation of the Department of Internal Inspection and Protection under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Lao People's Army, led by its head Major General Soulinphone Khamphachanh.
The Lao delegation’s visit was a practical activity to celebrate "The Year of Friendship and Solidarity between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam 2022."
During the reception, Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong affirmed that senior leaders of the two countries have attached great importance to preserving and consolidating the great relationship and special solidarity between the two governments, people and militaries.

In celebration of the "Year of Solidarity and Friendship between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam 2022," the two ministries have worked together to successfully conduct various activities, reaffirming that defense cooperation is always considered one of the key pillars in Vietnam - Laos relations.
Meanwhile, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong highly appreciated the great efforts of the two countries’ agencies and units in implementing cooperation plans amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also underlined Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense would create favorable conditions to strengthen cooperation between the agencies and units, contributing to deepening the Vietnam-Laos defense cooperation.
In the time to come, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong required both sides to intensify training work for officers and share experience and expertise in defense inspection and protection of military internal security in the new situation.

For his part, Major General Soulinphone Khamphachanh thanked Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong for the warm reception.
He informed Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong about the results of the working session between the Lao delegation and agencies of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army.
The two sides agreed to work together to effectively implement the contents mentioned in the agreement signed by the two ministries.
