At the meeting, the Lao senior officer highlighted the aim of the Lao delegation’s visit to Vietnam, which is to learn experiences in archive work. He stressed the delegation’s working session with the Office of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense on the work and information technology application to personnel training, and the visits to the Center of Archives under the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, the Archive Warehouse of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, and the National Archives Center No.3.

The Lao officer also underlined the fine development in the two countries’ relationship and in the comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, militaries and peoples. He believed that the traditional ties, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, militaries and peoples, especially the relationship between the two Offices of the two defense ministries and the two countries’ border protection forces, will further develop.
For his part, Major General Le Duc Thai, Deputy Commander and Chief of the Staff of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, wished the Lao delegation’s visit a success and emphasized that Vietnam always remembers the support and sentiment of the Lao Government and people reserved for Vietnamese troops and people during the resistance wars against foreign invaders and in the national construction cause.
General Thai laid stress on the close coordination between the Vietnamese border guard force and the Lao border protection force in shared borderline management and protection, in crime prevention and control, and confirmed that their ties have contributed to consolidating the special friendship between the two countries and to building a borderline of peace, stability, cooperation and development.

On same day, the Lao delegation went on a field trip to the Archive Warehouse of the Vietnam Border Guard Command.
On September 17, at a reception for the Lao delegation, Major General Nguyen Huu Chi, Deputy Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, briefed the guests on the service’s 55 years of building, combat and development and on the service’s task performance.
After the meeting, the Lao delegation had a professional expertise exchange with the Office of the Command of the Air Defense - Air Force Service to learn archive experience.
Thanking the service’s leadership for the warm reception, Lao Colonel Vilatu Volachit recalled the support of the Vietnamese Party, military, and people, including the support of the air defense and air force troops, for the Lao people in the past and at present in spite of various difficulties and affirmed that the Lao people would never forget that.
