Deputy Chief of General Staff receives US guests
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army on February 27 hosted a reception at the Ministry of National Defense’s headquarters for a visiting delegation of the United States (US) Army Command and General Staff College, led by Professor William J. Gregor from the College’s School of Advanced Military Studies.

Gen. Minh highlighted the visit as a contribution to bolstering the mutual trust and understanding between the two armies and peoples and emphasized that the Vietnam-US defense ties have been developing, especially in delegation exchanges, military medical cooperation, overcoming of war consequences, and search and rescue.
The host also answered queries raised by the guest on Vietnam’s policy on defense relations.
On behalf of the US delegation, Prof. William J. Gregor thanked the host for the warm reception and stressed that information given by the host helped the delegation members further understand Vietnam, its people and army, enhancing the flourishing defense cooperation between the two countries.
