Corps 15 awards full scholarships to Lao officers

Major General Hoang Van Sy grants full scholarships to Lao officers.

According to the twinning agreement between Corps 15 and the Steering Committee for the Rural Grassroots Building and Comprehensive Development of the Lao MND, for the 2023-2028 period and the approval of the Vietnamese MND, in 2024, Corps 15 provided five full scholarships, worth VND 500 million each, to five officers of the Lao MND.

The five officers will study Vietnamese for one year at Da Nang University of Education and then study their majors for 4 years at Tay Nguyen University. On average, each officer will receive a monthly allowance of VND 4.7 million and other benefits following regulations on scholarship for Lao students of the Vietnamese Government.

Addressing the event, Major General Hoang Van Sy emphasized that the five Lao officers successfully completed their tasks and achieved excellent outcomes.

He also affirmed that they are outstanding individuals, selected by the Lao MND to study in Vietnam. Therefore, they should stay united, study hard to obtain highest results; actively participate in extracurricular activities and cultural exchanges, contributing to fostering the Vietnam-Laos great friendship and special solidarity.
