Vietnamese border guard force exchanges information with Chinese counterparts via a hotline. |
Instead of an in-person meeting, the two sides exchanged information via a hotline. They also agreed on scenarios and plans during the border patrol and control.
They reached an agreement on putting letters into a mailbox placed at the border demarcation line at the Lao Cai - Hekou international land border gate to prevent COVID-19 from spreading via the border.
Ten teams of the two sides closely patrolled from markers 87 to 167 to prevent illegal border-crossings, and trans-border crimes.
In the framework of the patrol, the two sides closely controlled the number of people and vehicles entering and existing border gates and disseminated information about disease prevention, anti-smuggling, and prevention of trade fraud to people in border areas.
Concluding the patrol, the two sides reviewed the joint patrol work via a hotline, sign the minutes of the patrol and sent letters to each other.
