Cambodian unit extends Tet greetings to Vietnamese border unit
PANO - On February 3, a Cambodian delegation, led by Lieutenant General Lao Sokha, Director of the Mondulkiri Provincial Police Department, visited and extended Tet greetings to the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command of Vietnam on the occasion of the 2024 Tet (lunar New Year).
Representing the police force of Mondulkiri province, Lieutenant General Lao Sokha conveyed Tet greetings to the officers and soldiers of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, and the Vietnamese people, wishing them good health, happiness, and prosperity in the lunar New Year. He also expressed his hope for the fruitful development of the solidarity and friendship between the two neighboring countries.
The Director of the Mondulkiri Provincial Police Department also expressed joy regarding the achieved results of the two forces, especially in coordinating in information exchange and combating crimes such as drug and human trafficking. He thanked the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command for the support in the past, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lieutenant General Lao Sokha also expressed his desire for both sides to continue supporting each other, enhancing information exchange, and collaborating in the fight against crimes in the border area.

In return, Senior Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commanding Officer of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, expressed thanks to the leaders and officers of the Mondulkiri Provincial Police Department. He hoped that in 2024, the border protection forces of both sides would continue close collaboration, effectively manage and safeguard the shared border, and enhance joint efforts in crime prevention and border development for peace, friendship, cooperation, and mutual development.
