The guests, including those from the Police Department, the Gendarmerie Command, and the Military Sub-Region, were led by Major General Orn Bunny Rithy, Deputy Director of the provincial Police Department.

On the occasion of the approaching lunar New Year, the Cambodian general sent best wishes to all officers and soldiers of the Vietnamese command and their families. He wished the special friendship and solidarity between the two sides to further develop.

An overview of the pre-Tet visit of the Mondulkiri armed forces to the Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Command

During the visit, the two sides informed each other of their locality’s socio-economic development and outcomes of their coordination in 2023. In particular, thanks to their close cooperation in defending the shared borderline and fighting crimes, they effectively addressed border-related cases, thus upholding political security, social order and safety, firmly managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and border security of each country.

This year, the two sides will continue to jointly conduct meaningful activities on the basis of the friendly neighborliness, and win-win development. They will regularly exchange information to deal with border-related issues in an effective manner on the basis of mutual understanding and respect.

At the event, Senior Colonel Vu Xuan Dai, Commanding Officer of the Dak Nong Border Guard Command, thanked the guests for their care and deep sentiments. He hoped that the two sides will promote their effective coordination to help build a borderline of peace, stability, and sustainable development.

* The same day, a delegation from the Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region, led by its Second-in-Command Colonel Preak Vantha, paid a pre-Tet visit to the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command.

The Cambodian officer extended New Year greetings to all troops of the Vietnamese unit and hoped the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia in general and between Mondulkiri and Dak Lak provinces and between the two units in particular to be further consolidated.

Tet gifts presented to the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command

He expressed thanks to Dak Lak province and the provincial Border Guard Command for their coordination in managing and protecting the border, exchanging information and fighting border crimes, and giving support to the COVID-19 control efforts and health care for Cambodian troops on-duty in border areas.

Sending thanks to the guest for their sentiments, Senior Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commanding Officer of the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command, expressed his hope that the two sides’ border protection forces will maintain their close collaboration in the coming time.
