Cambodian defense attaché delegation visits Army Officer Candidate School No.2
PANO - The Cambodian defense attaché delegation, led by Major General Leang Sovannara, visited and worked with the Army Officer Candidate School No.2.
At the working session, Rector of the school Major General Nguyen Trong Sy briefed the Cambodian delegation upon the school’s tradition of 62 years of construction and development. The school used to be stationed in Cambodia and received support from the Cambodian troops and people when the school was tasked with training Cambodian military officers as from 1981.

Some cadets studying at the Army Officer Candidate School No.2 are currently leaders in the Cambodian military units. The school has been honored with the Sahametrei Friendship Medal by Cambodia three times.
On the occasion, leaders of the schools shared its achievements in education and training of Cambodian military cadets.

On behalf of the delegation, Major General Leang Sovannara thanked the Vietnam Defense Ministry in general and the school in particular for the support for the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in education and training. He also expressed his hope that the close solidarity between the two militaries and peoples would be further tightened.
Also at the event, both sides discussed measures to raise the quality of education and training of Cambodian military officers, and regularly update their situations so as to address any arising issues.
After the working session, Major General Leang Sovannara and the delegation visited and inquired after Cambodian military cadets studying at the school.
