At the reception at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh congratulated Colonel Sergei Pesetski on his successful term of office in Vietnam and Colonel Raichonak Vadzim on his appointment as Belarusian defense attaché to Vietnam.

The Vietnamese deputy defense minister affirmed that over the past time, the Vietnam-Belarus defense cooperation has been effectively implemented in many fields, such as delegation exchange, training and education, military science, communications, and military justice, among others. He requested that in the coming time, both sides should actively boost close cooperation to conduct available cooperation content, while proposing cooperation in other potential fields, meeting the demands of both sides and contributing to promoting the traditional multifaceted relationship between Vietnam and Belarus.

Acknowledging and highly hailing the remarkable contribution by Colonel Sergei Pesetski during this working term, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh expressed his hope that the outgoing defense attaché, in any position, will keep good feelings about Vietnam and its people and continue to contribute to developing the relations between the two countries in general and the two defense ministries in particular.

Welcoming newly-appointed Belarusian defense attaché Colonel Raichonak Vadzim, the Vietnamese deputy defense minister hoped that in the new position, Colonel Raichonak Vadzim would make further contribution to the development of the Vietnam-Belarus traditional relationship.

For his part, Colonel Sergei Pesetski thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense for its close coordination, support, and creation of favorable conditions for him to complete his missions. He hoped that the Vietnamese ministry would continue to help his successor fulfill his duties.

Meanwhile, Colonel Raichonak Vadzim affirmed that he would promote his predecessor’s achievements and work with authorized agencies under the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to give recommendations to further promote bilateral defense cooperation.
