PANO - A high-ranking delegation of the Belarusian Ministry of Defence, led by Major General Gura Aleksandr Nikolaevich, Director of the General Department of Ideological Work, paid a working visit to the Vietnamese Military Broadcasting Centre in Hanoi on October 8th, as part of their ongoing visit to Vietnam.

At the working session, Major General Nguyen Hoai Nam, head of the centre, briefed the guests on the centre’s establishment and development.

The host held that though this centre has been founded for over one year, its diverse programs, with nearly 60 formats, have been much applauded by troops and people. He also laid stress on the importance of such a television channel specialized in military and defence with the aim of popularizing the building of the people’s army, the whole people defence and national protection in the new period.

 

Regarding the agreement on exchanging television works and sharing experiences on broadcasting the army of each country, which was reached at talks earlier between delegations of the Vietnam General Department of Politics and the Belarusian Ministry of Defence, the host highlighted the cooperation, regarding it as a way to further educate patriotism and responsibilities of officers and troops, contributing to consolidating the traditional ties between the two peoples and the two armies.

For his part, the guest highly appreciated the centre’s accomplishments over the past time and said that a mission from the Belarusian Defence Television Channel would visit the Vietnamese centre in the near future in order to share and gain more experiences to better serve the army.
