Orders from heart
Throughout its deployment, the Engineering Company Rotation 4 has consistently provided timely assistance to local communities. The peacekeepers have rescued vehicles stranded in muddy roads, delivered thousands of liters of clean water to civilians sheltering at U.N. bases, repaired classrooms, and leveled schoolyards creating safer spaces for children to study and play. They have also upgraded roads leading to villages, churches, and hospitals, improving transportation and facilitating emergency response.

In Banton, Agok and other localities, the company has regularly distributed clean water, relief supplies, and daily necessities to people in need. The practical support has not only eased daily difficulties but also tightened the ties between the Vietnamese peacekeepers and local people.
Deng, the village chief of Banton, recalled that whenever children see vehicles flying Vietnam’s national flag, they run out to welcome them. He said the Vietnamese contingent has provided clean water and repaired roads that allow ambulances to reach those in need. They have won the trust and affection of local people.
According to Colonel Trinh Van Cuong, Head of Engineering Company Rotation 4 and Commanding Officer of the Vietnamese peacekeeping force at UNISFA, the unit is committed not only to fulfilling its assigned missions, but also delivering meaningful support to local communities. "Helping people is an order that comes from the heart of every Vietnamese soldier," he said.
Special letters of appreciation
In recognition of the company's contribution to local infrastructure and community development, the Abyei Special Administrative Area has twice presented official letters of appreciation to Engineering Company Rotation 4, highly praising the company’s contribution to people’s life and infrastructure development.

The local administration also recommended that higher authorities grant special recognition to the Vietnamese contingent for its outstanding service.
Chief Administrator Justice Charles Jok shared that the company’s work has brought not only better roads but also renewed hope for people of Abyei. He emphasized that the dedication, professionalism, and sentiments shown by the Vietnamese peacekeepers have touched the hearts of local people and deserve the highest recognition.
This recognition is an honor for Engineering Company Rotation 4. Serving in one of the world's most challenging peacekeeping missions, the Vietnamese blue berets are helping improve the quality of life of local communities while promoting Vietnam's image as a responsible, peace-loving nation committed to international peacekeeping and humanitarian cooperation.
