Participating contingents at the “Tactical Shooter” event at the opening ceremony |
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dao Trong Vinh, head of the Vietnamese Tactical Shooter Contingent, nine contingents will compete in this year’s event. They are from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, China, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, Mali and Vietnam.
The Vietnamese contingent arrived in Kazakhstan on August 8. Right after the arrival, the members got acquainted with the training ground, weapons, adjusted guns, and practiced shooting lessons.

The Vietnamese contingent visited Kazakhstan Military Academy in Nur-Sultan city, some units under the Kazakh Ministry of Defense, and Spassk training center.
At the opening ceremony of the event, participating contingents were entertained with the host country’s artistic performances.

The Vietnamese contingent was encouraged by Vietnamese Deputy Ambassador to Kazakhstan Nguyen Phan Hai and his spouse.
After the ceremony, the contingents maneuvered to the competition site at Mechanized Infantry Training Center in Spassky Memorial area, some 260km from Nursultan capital to prepare for the competition days to come.
