Major General Nguyen Xuan Thuy chairs a meeting on media preparations for the Viet Nam Defense Expo 2026.

According to the report at the meeting, the agencies, units and subcommittee members have taken the initiative to review their assignments, brief staff and coordinate their work. They have worked together to hold a press briefing introducing the expo, surveyed the site to identify work areas for reporters and promptly coordinated with national and local media outlets to provide focused, effective coverage in line with the communications plan.

Meanwhile, military press agencies, led by the People’s Army Newspaper and the Military Broadcasting Center, have stepped up coverage, regularly sharing news reports, articles, video clips and photos in print, online, on radio and television, and on digital platforms. The expo website is operating effectively. Agencies and units are also actively organizing rehearsals for performances at the expo.

During the event, participants discussed proposals and ways for agencies and units to work together so that they could carry out their duties at the expo more smoothly.

In his closing remarks, Major General Nguyen Xuan Thuy praised the agencies, units and subcommittee members for taking the initiative and actively carrying out their assignments. He said that little time remained before the opening and that preparations had entered their busiest phase.

He urged those involved to continue working closely together and focus their efforts on effective coverage that also highlighted major national and military events. These include Viet Nam Culture Day on November 24, the 80th anniversary of National Resistance Day (1946-2026), the 82nd founding anniversary of the Viet Nam People’s Army (1944-2026) and the 37th anniversary of Whole-People Defense Festive Day (1989-2026).

Military press agencies, including the People’s Army Newspaper and the Military Broadcasting Center, were requested to expand their coverage and produce more publications about the expo.
