Patrol teams from Viet Nam’s Thanh Luong Border Post and Laos’ Border Company 119 salute a border marker.

During the patrol, the teams inspected the border section, the marker system, other signs marking the boundary and geological conditions around the markers. They also informed residents along the shared border about the laws, agreements and regulations governing border management and protection and urged them to comply.

The inspection found that the border and markers remained intact and that the border area was stable and secure. The sections managed by the two sides were stable, with no risk of landslides.

After the patrol, the teams exchanged information, reviewed their recent cooperation and signed the joint patrol record. They also agreed on when to hold the next patrol and what it would cover. The joint patrol helps strengthen coordination, maintain security and order, and foster peace, friendship, stability and development along the Viet Nam–Laos border.
