In the early morning of the day, the Vietnamese contingent arrived in Minsk city to attend the welcoming ceremony. Following the event, the teams drew lots to select their equipment and weapons for their upcoming competition.

During this year’s competition, the Vietnamese Signal contingent will compete with eight rivals from Belarus, Russia, China, Mali, Laos, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
The competition includes six stages. Specifically, Radio orientation, Confident reception, Stable transmission, Work on establishing video communication with geographically remote objects, Operation with the IT-structure equipment, and Military relay-race events will take place on August 24, August 26, August 27, August 31, September 1, and September 2, respectively.
* On the same day, the Vietnamese Artillery contingent landed in Kazakhstan for the Army Games 2021, where they will compete in the “Masters of Artillery Fire” event.
* Meanwhile, at Forish training field, the VPA’s Field Kitchen contingent received and maintained their assigned equipment and weapons in preparation for the upcoming competition.
* These days, at Alabino training ground in Moscow, Russia, the host country of the Meridian contest in the Army Games 2021, members of the Vietnamese Meridian contingent are now practicing with the Russian team in the relay race program.
This is an occasion for the troops to closely work with and learn from the host country. During their training, a Russian judge evaluated that the Vietnamese team had met all set requirements.
* On August 17, in order to make good preparation for the Army Games 2021 in Russia, at Salut hotel (Moscow), on behalf of the organizing panel, Major General Alexander Peryazev, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Combat Training under the Russian Armed Forces, and chief judge of the competition, chaired a meeting with the heads of participating countries’ contingents and judges.
At the meeting, delegates were briefed on the Army Games 2021. On this occasion, the organizing panel also responded to proposals and recommendations from participating countries.
This year, the VPA has sent 17 contingents to participate in 15 events of the games, including three contests just debuted this year, namely “Army of Culture,” “Meridian,” and “Tactical Shooter.”
