Unilever Vietnam Group last week opened Vietnam’s biggest commodity distribution centre at the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Zone in Binh Duong province.
The centre, covering an area of 10 hectares, was built at the cost of 12 million USD.
According to Unilever’s Vice President Greg Sullivan, this new distribution centre has 3 main functions: delivering goods to agents in western, central and southern Vietnam; transporting goods from Ho Chi Minh City to two huge distribution centres of Unilever in Da Nang and Hanoi; and exporting commodities to 18 foreign countries in the world, especially Southeast Asian markets.
The centre will be run by the Australian logistics provider Linfox.
