When found, natural gas will be sent ashore via the Lan Tay exploration rig. The drilling, conducted by oil rig HAKURYU-5, is operated by Japan Drilling Co., Ltd. (JDC) under a signed agreement with Rosneft.
Rosneft has planned to make another drilling at Lot 05-3/11 in the Nam Con Son basin of Vietnam after the drilling at Lot 06.1, aiming to facilitate the two projects and help save time for the project implementation for Rosneft's efficient exploration activities in Vietnam.
According to Mr. Igor Sechin, Rosneft gives priority to its projects in Vietnam, a dynamic developing country in the Asia-Pacific region. Rosneft acknowledged and highly appreciated the progress of the current projects in Vietnam and hoped for more cooperation development in the future.
For his part, the General Director of PetroVietnam highly valued Rosneft’s efforts over the past time. The drilling activities this time show Rosneft’s high determination in making major contributions to the oil and gas industry of Vietnam.
