This summer, Malaysia Airlines will increase by at least one flight a week flights on the route between Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City.
Zuraidi Saisi, Malaysia Airlines’ Director in Vietnam, said to TBKTSG Online that, the airline is operating 20 flights a week for the Ho Chi Minh City-Kuala Lumpur route with 3 flights a day every Monday to Saturday and 2 flights on Sundays. From this July, there will be 3 flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur on Sundays.
The airline has also operated seven flights a week between Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi.
With the additional flights, there will be 28 flights a week between Malaysia and Vietnam by Malaysia Airlines, the same number of flights that Thai Airways is operating between Thailand and Vietnam.
Mr. Saisi also said that Malaysia Airlines has put the Boeing B738 aircraft, with 160 seats, into service for flights in the morning between Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City, replacing the Boeing B734 with 144 seats.
Notably, in one month, from April 25th, Malaysia Airlines will offer a 60% discount for flights to ASEAN countries, Europe, Australia and New Zealand from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, on April 25th, 2011 to March 31st, 2012.
