Through testing, VT-Super-120B-A12B, a Vietnamese large language model (LLM) developed and owned by Viettel AI, demonstrated high performance, ranking among top-tier models in accuracy compared to other models of similar scale. This success stems from training the model on indigenous data and optimizing it for domestic business operations. Notably, the model enhances Vietnamese language processing capabilities without compromising the original model's English performance, while also mitigating catastrophic forgetting, a common challenge during AI training and fine-tuning.
Built on the NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super open architecture with 120 billion parameters, VT-Super-120B-A12B was directly trained, fine-tuned, and optimized for the Vietnamese language by Vietnamese engineers. Additionally, the long-context window capability of the NVIDIA Nemotron architecture allows the model to maintain context continuity across multiple documents, workflows, and complex conversations within a single task.
Owning a core model capable of memorization and flexible adaptation to real-world data lays the groundwork for Viettel AI to fine-tune LLMs with high precision. This fully addresses the challenge of optimizing AI applications for individual Vietnamese organizations and enterprises.

In addition, Viettel AI constructed an LLM training pipeline driven by indigenous datasets, including administrative data, corporate operations, real-world conversations, and specialized Vietnamese regulatory frameworks.
Shilpa Kolhatkar, Global Head of AI Nations at NVIDIA, stated that by driving the development of sovereign and domain-specific AI, Viettel is democratizing access to AI across society. At the same time, it is transforming indigenous language and data into practical value for government agencies and enterprises.
Leveraging this model, Viettel AI is developing an AI Agent platform for Vietnamese users, capable of autonomously executing sequence-based tasks within a unified workspace. Among its pioneer applications, the Legal AI Assistant is expected to analyze case files, cross-reference regulations, synthesize data, and propose solutions tailored to specific user scenarios, delivering a significant leap in quality compared to previous iterations.
From public administration and customer service to corporate operations and data analytics, VT-Super-120B-A12B is positioned to become the core technology powering AI systems tailored precisely to the real-world needs of Vietnamese organizations and enterprises.
