Viettel Solutions-developed center positively changes Thua Thien Hue province
PANO - Since its inception three years ago, the Intelligent Operation Center of Hue (Hue IOC), designed and developed by Viettel Solutions, an affiliate of Viettel Group, has reaped good outcomes, contributing to new positive appearance of Thua Thien Hue province and happy life of local people.
Hue IOC originated from the project “Developing smart urban service in Thua Thien Hue province by 2020 with a vision to 2025” approved by the provincial People’s Committee in August 2018.
The birth of the center was also attributed to the coordination between the local authorities and Viettel Solutions. They jointly conducted studies, made evaluation, applied information technology solutions with the aim of successfully building an e-government, a smart city, and modernizing the province’s administrative system.
Thanks to the operation of the IOC, Hue’s digital government has proven effective after six months of launch. According to Director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications Nguyen Xuan Son, the biggest efficiency gained is the shift in awareness of information among involved agencies, helping reduce shortcomings made by regular administrative system, pressure on personnel, and facilitate connection between people and local authorities in a more transparent manner.
Via IOC, Thua Thien Hue province has carried out various services to build a smart city, a government serving the people, thus securing the people’s trust in the local government and improving locals’ life.
In the coming time, Viettel Solutions will continue to support the province to realize its mission of taking advantage of digital technologies to benefit organizations and bring happiness to local people.
Over the past three years, Hue IOC has helped deal with tens of thousands of local people’s reports, saving VND 7.7 billion for the State budget; monitored operations via camera sensor systems; and prevented more than 1 million cyber-attacks and ensured information security during the peak of COVID-19 prevention and control.
