Viettel Post builds cross-border logistics infrastructure
PANO - Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post), on April 20, noted that Viettel’s Chairman and General Director Major General Tao Duc Thang had a meeting with a delegation of Nanning city government, China, led by Secretary of Nanning city’s Party Committee Nong Shengwen.
On the occasion, both sides discussed investment opportunities in logistics, trade, digital transformation, smart border gates and other potential fields.
Accordingly, Viettel Post will offer intermodal freight service, invested in and implemented “customs clearance inspection” by Viettel, at 30 centers in Vietnam.

The cooperation between Viettel and Nanning city in the field of logistics and cross-border transportation is expected to help reduce the connection time between Nanning city and Hanoi to only 12 hours, reducing 30% of logistics costs, contributing to promoting trading between the two countries, especially in the fields of agriculture and fisheries.
The two sides also reached an agreement to jointly establish the Vietnam - China Association of Logistics and Trade Enterprises.

The cross-border logistics infrastructure connecting Vietnam and China will pave the way for Vietnam to become a regional logistics center, increasing the competitiveness of Vietnamese agriculture and fisheries in the Chinese market.
Major General Tao Duc Thang held that Viettel will invest in human, financial, and technological resources to participate in building national logistics infrastructure, contributing to making Vietnam a regional and world logistics center.
