Viettel High Tech expands cooperation with various global partners.

As the telecommunications industry shifts towards a highly automated network model integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the core architecture, Viettel High Tech focuses on developing 5G Advanced and 6G infrastructure oriented towards AI-native, post-quantum security, and energy optimization right from the design phase. This approach not only enhances system performance, but also shapes operating standards for next-generation networks.

The partnership with Intel centers on co-developing and testing key technologies for 5G Advanced and 6G, including AI optimization in the RAN telecommunications system and Cloud-native architecture. Early access to next-generation computing platforms helps Viettel High Tech accelerate its technology validation cycle and consolidate its position in the global AI RAN ecosystem.

With AMD, Viettel High Tech aims to build a high-performance computing architecture for networks integrating AI and edge computing, ensuring scalability and optimizing operating costs for large-scale 5G/6G systems. The two sides will jointly evaluate compatibility and integrate next-generation chipset and server solutions to create an efficient and energy-saving system architecture for 5G/6G applications.

Viettel is also stepping up cooperation with ID Quantique, a pioneer in quantum-safe cryptography, to co-research post-quantum security solutions aimed at protecting systems and data in the long term. This cooperation lays the foundation for integrating post-quantum security into the network architecture from the design stage. Additionally, both sides are  expected to jointly build a team of experts in quantum-safe technology, aiming to form long-term capabilities for the new-generation security ecosystem, especially in cross-border connection scenarios.

Viettel High Tech focuses on developing 5G Advanced and 6G infrastructure.

These steps are deployed based on 5G capabilities commercially proven with 2,500 “Make in Vietnam” 5G base stations and the 5G Open RAN solution that saves up to 24% of power consumption under high load conditions. This achievement was recognized by Gartner in the Magic Quadrant for CSP 5G RAN Infrastructure Solutions 2025, bringing Vietnam into the group of leading countries in 5G technology.

Taking 5G Advanced as a bridge, Viettel High Tech is transforming its 5G capabilities into readiness for 6G, engaging early in the process of building global architecture and standards. This marks a transition from the role of deploying technology to creating the 6G ecosystem in the coming decade.
