Viettel is honored at the ceremony held on October 20 by the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Taxation.

According to Viettel, the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Taxation held a ceremony on October 20 to honor typical taxpayers in the reviewed period in recognition of their great efforts to overcome difficulties and make contributions to the State budget.

Addressing the event, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc said that the years from 2020 to 2022 underwent prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The domestic and export markets were shrunk; production and business activities were seriously affected. As a result, Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs faced unprecedented challenges.

Surmounting external factors during this period, Viettel sped up digital transformation activities and successfully transformed from a pure telecommunications enterprise (telco) into a digital service provider (techco). The group formed six fundamental areas of digital society, namely digital infrastructure, digital solutions, digital finance, digital content, cyber security and high-tech manufacturing.

Attentively, in August this year, Brand Finance announced Top 100 most valuable Vietnamese brands with Viettel securing its No.1 position with its brand valued at nearly USD 9 billion. Viettel was also the most valuable telecommunications brand in Southeast Asia.
