Viettel is also the only domestic company to reach a profit of almost USD 1 billion (around VND 22 trillion) in the first half of this year, of which approx. VND 1 trillion came from Viettel’s joint ventures abroad.
Particularly, in 2016, the total corporate tax of the enterprises in the list reached more than VND 90 trillion, posting an increase of 11.87 percent from last year. Of these, the top 100 corporate taxpayers among the total 1,000 businesses contributed nearly 75 percent of the State budget.
Meanwhile, the top ten saw the presence of seven Vietnamese companies, while three from the foreign direct investment (FDI) sector.
