Corps 15 is a defense-economic unit operating in the strategic Central Highlands, tasked with combining economic development with national defense and security, and building residential areas and social infrastructure in border regions. Its development stands as a vivid example of the Party’s policy of closely integrating the two strategic tasks of national construction and defense.

Transforming barren lands, the corps has established large-scale production areas and farms to ensure sustainable development. It has resettled over 25,000 households, totaling nearly 92,000 people, across 266 residential clusters in border regions to strengthen the all-people national defense posture. Simultaneously, the unit effectively maintains political security and social order through close coordination with local authorities and armed forces.

The corps also implements innovative mass mobilization models, notably the "paired households" initiative linking the Kinh and ethnic minority families. This model has grown from a few dozen to 4,269 pairs, improving production capacity and phasing out outdated practices while fostering national unity. Furthermore, the corps supports social welfare through housing and infrastructure projects. In 2025, it constructed 357 houses for residents and workers, costing nearly VND 17 billion.

With these outstanding achievements, on December 26, 2025, Corps 15 was awarded the Hero of the People’s Armed Forces title for the second time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc congratulated the generations of officers, employees, and workers of Corps 15 on their remarkable achievements. He emphasized that the title is a noble reward, reflecting the recognition of the Party and State for their dedication.

He requested Corps 15 to continue following resolutions and directives from the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense. The Corps must build political strength as a foundation for combat readiness and production, while closely linking economic development with defense tasks to ensure practical effectiveness and alignment with national objectives.
