Vietnam, RoK to expand trade cooperation
PANO - The Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) opened its office in Vietnam on June 12.
VKBIA was established in order to create an environment for connecting, cooperating, and exchanging information between Vietnamese – Korean businesses, entrepreneurs, experts and intellectuals. It aims to encourage cooperation and development with associations and agencies in Korea, Vietnam and other countries, thereby promoting cooperative and developmental cooperation in economic activities, trade and science, culture, and education, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the two countries.

At the opening ceremony, Tran Hai Linh, President of VKBIA, said that Vietnam-based VKBIA will create a bridge to connect Vietnamese businesses with Korean and international markets. With the mission of connecting trade, technology and culture, VKBIA will continue to implement connecting programs to support Vietnamese and Korean businesses.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Nguyen Vu Tung said that apart from the mission of connecting trade, VKBIA has become a bridge of friendship and cooperation, thus marking an important contribution to the strategic cooperation goals of the two countries.
The same day, VKBIA signed a cooperation agreement with Dai Nam University to support students who are studying the Korean language after graduation. They will have an opportunity to work for Korean companies and corporations in Vietnam or in the Republic of Korea.
On the afternoon of June 12, VKBIA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with VietinBank.
