Both of them are seeking points to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
“Each tournament will be a practice opportunity so that our athletes can sharpen their skills and gain experience to improve their level,” said Vu Son Ha, head of the Karate Department.
After the Paris event, there will be K1 competitions in Dubai in February, followed by Rotterdam in March, Rabat in April, Istanbul in June, Berlin in September and Tokyo in October.
Ngoan and her teammate can also collect points from the Asian Games in Indonesia in August and the world championships in Spain in November.
