Viet Nam finished top of Group D with a perfect record, winning all three matches without conceding a goal.
The match was decisive in determining the group’s qualification spot. A draw would have been enough for head coach Okiyama Masahiko and his players to complete their mission.

U17 women’s players of Vietnam celebrate after taking a 1–0 lead against Kyrgyzstan on October 11, 2026. |
Following the opening whistle, Kyrgyzstan took an aggressive approach and pressed high in pursuit of an early breakthrough. Nevertheless, Viet Nam promptly restored order to the match, mounting a sequence of threatening offensive moves led by the combination of Ha Vi, Nhu Y, and Huyen Trang.
Having squandered multiple scoring opportunities earlier on, Viet Nam eventually broke through in the 25th minute. Capitalizing on a well-delivered pass from a teammate, Huyen Trang converted from close range to hand Viet Nam the lead.
Kyrgyzstan fashioned a late first-half opportunity, but Viet Nam held firm to protect their 1-0 cushion until the interval.
Upon returning for the second half, Viet Nam kept piling the pressure on the opposing backline. Their persistence paid off in the 55th minute when Ha Vi produced a standout moment, outjumping the more physically imposing central defenders to plant a clinical header into the net and make it 2-0.
Throughout the closing stages, Kyrgyzstan found it difficult to break through and repeatedly left openings at the back. Khanh Chi, Ha Vi, and Ngoc Anh each had clear chances to further widen the gap for Viet Nam, though none managed to capitalize.
The 2-0 triumph ensured Viet Nam finished atop Group D, sealing their place at the 2027 AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup finals. Okiyama Masahiko’s side completed a flawless qualifying campaign with three wins out of three, racking up 28 goals while keeping a clean sheet throughout.
