Under the theme “Water”, this year’s Dutch days to take place from October 17-23 in Ho Chi Minh City will entertain visitors with various activities, including a photo exhibition, paintings by children in Chi Lang Park on October 19-20, a mobile library for the blind to be inaugurated on October 20 at Multi-Science Library, and a Vietnamese-Dutch Friendship concert to be organised in HCM City Theatre on October 21.

Free tickets can be picked up at the Foreign Service Centre, Dutch General Consulate and HCM City Ballet Symphony Theatre.

A book titled “Lion and Dragon – Four centuries of Vietnam and the Netherlands” complied by historians of the two countries will be released on this occasion. The book’s Vietnamese version will be published in early 2008.

Along with cultural activities, the Dutch days in HCM City will witness a water-related MOU signing ceremony on October 19 and a discussion between enterprises in water service at a seminar held at the Park Hyatt Hotel on October 22.

The Dutch days will conclude with a solo piano performance by famous Dutch pianist Monique Copper on October 23 at HCM City Conservatory.
