The festival opens with a procession carrying the ceremonial attire of the goddess Po Inu Nugar and Cham kings from Raglai-inhabited areas to ancient temple towers. There, Brahmin dignitaries and senior priests conduct solemn traditional rituals, including opening the towers, bathing statues and making offerings.

The festive activities are lively, featuring the rhythmic sounds of Ginang drums and Saranai oboes, Cham fan dances and traditional folk competitions, including gingerbread making, rice pounding and brocade weaving.
