The painting winning the special prize

The art work drawn by Dam Tran Mai Le, a sixth-grade student of Lam Dong Secondary School in Hai Phong city’s Thuy Nguyen district, was selected ahead of more than 91,000 entries to win the special prize.

The painting features a train that is being driven by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam with medical workers, soldiers, citizens, and students on board. It illustrates the spirit of the entire political system and highlights people from different localities, regions, and religions in fighting the disease.

The train goes through different famous locations in Vietnam, namely the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City, Thien Mu Pagoda in Thua Thien - Hue, the Turtle Tower in Hanoi, and the Cultural House in Hai Phong.

The contest was jointly launched by the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, the Thien Long Group, and Colokit to create a platform for children to show their talent as well as raise awareness of COVID-19 prevention and control.
