Three outstanding Vietnamese pool players, Duong Anh Vu, Ly The Vinh and Ma Xuan Cuong, are competing at the Asian Carom Billiards Championships 2011, being held in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, on May 16th.
This is a good opportunity for Vietnamese pool players to train and learn experiences for other regional and world tournaments in the coming time.
The three-day tournament drew the participation of leading pool players from Asian countries and competing at the event, which will help them to earn points to improve their rankings in the world.
At present, two Vietnamese players, Duong Anh Vu and Ly The Vinh, are ranked 30th and 41st in the world, respectively.
Earlier in February, the Vietnamese pool team took part in the 2011 World 8-ball Championship held in Fujairah City, the United Arab Emirates. However, the team won no prize at the event.
