The five-day event, held in the framework of international culture cooperation of the two countries to strengthen their bilateral relations in cinematography, will introduce five outstanding Vietnamese films which won a number of domestic and international prizes.

On behalf of the Vietnam Embassy in Russia, Chargé d'Affaires to Russia Lai Ngoc Doan emphasized that cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Russia enjoyed strong development recently with regular cultural exchanges. He expected the event would help strengthen sentiment and cooperation between the two countries, making contribution to fostering mutual understanding, friendship and the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership. 

Do Duy Anh, Deputy Head of the Department of Cinematography under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that Vietnamese and Russian cinematic art sectors have developed a fine traditional relationship. Many Russian films have been popular in Vietnam for decades and many successful Vietnamese artists were trained in Russia. He hoped that the Vietnamese film days in Russia will leave good impressions on Russian audiences and make active contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries.
