PANO – The Vietnam – Republic of Korea (RoK) cartoon festival was kicked off on June 3rd in Hanoi by the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam (KCCV) and the Vietnam Department of Cinematography.

The third festival promoted exchange and cooperation between cartoon watchers and film makers of the two countries, and to assist Vietnam in developing the cartoon industry.

Audiences will watch free Vietnam – Korea cartoons from June 4th -6th at the Au Co Art Center, 8 Huynh Thuc Khang Street, Hanoi. Free tickets will be delivered by KCCV.

During the three-day festival, the organizers presented 4 prizes to short catoons. The film “An adventure of Egg, Lime and Chilly” of the Colory Animation Company won the first prize for the professional film maker category, “Sun Flower” of the Vietnam Cartoon Studio received the second prize. For amateur film makers, Nguyen Thanh Tuyen’s “Fox, Chicken and Mouse” won the first prize, and the second prize went to Huynh Anh Kiet’s “Song of the white flower”.
