The event was jointly held by the Vietnam Military History Museum, the Traditional Association of Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Trail, Pacific Group JSC, and the family of Lt. Gen. Dong Sy Nguyen.
Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs attended the event.
The exhibition is part of activities to celebrate the 100th birthday of Lt. Gen. Dong Sy Nguyen (March 1, 1923 - 2023) - a former Politburo member, former Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers (now the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government), former Deputy Minister of National Defense, and former Commander of Truong Son Corps (Mission 559).

On display are nearly 200 precious photos, documents, and artifacts featuring the general’s great contribution to the national liberation, reunification, construction and defense cause. The historical exhibits were preserved at the Vietnam Military History Museum, the Ho Chi Minh Trail Museum and house of the family of the general.
Divided into four parts, the exhibition aims to educate troops and the public, especially youngsters, on revolutionary ideals, patriotism, and national pride, while encouraging them to promote training and learning to accomplish all assigned missions, contributing to firmly defending the Socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

An overview of the artistic program |
* On the same day, the Quang Binh provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the Hanoi Radio and Television Station, and the Quang Binh Radio and Television Station held an artistic program at the north bank of Xuan Son ferry, Phong Nha townlet, Bo Trach district (Quang Binh) to mark the 100th birthday of the general.
The program highlighted the talent and sound leadership of Lt. Gen. Dong Sy Nguyen - former Commander of Truong Son Corps (Mission 559), and honored the general’s outstanding contribution to the national liberation, reunification, construction and defense cause.
The event was an occasion for the province’s party committee, local authorities, people and armed forces to show their deep gratitude to the general.
