A scene in the documentary "Dat lanh"

The third International Documentary Festival will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from June 8th to 14th, with the participation of 7 Vietnamese films and 7 others from Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark and Italy, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Competing films feature various topics of art, urbanisation and migration process, women’s life, the gap between the rich and the poor, and so on.

7 Vietnamese films include “Dieu mua co” (An old dance) and “Ken dong” (Bronze escort) by director Nguyen Van Huong, “Dat lanh” (Cold land) by director Nguyen Phuoc, “Loi ruu thi buon” (Sad song lyrics) by Mac Van Chung, “Khoang cach” (Distance) by Tran Phi, “Di de thay” (Go to see) by Dao Thanh Tung and Phan Huyen Thu, and “Chuyen cua moi nha” (The story of every families) by Vuong Khanh Luong.
