Six music talents from Vietnam will take part in concerts to be performed by the Southeast Asian Youth Chamber Orchestra (SEAYCO) in Bangkok, Thailand and Yangon, Myanmar later this month.
They include La Diem My (violonist), Hoang Ho Khanh Van (violonist), Tran Hong Nhung (cellist), Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang (fluter), Pham Khanh Toan (oboist) and Nguyen Tuan Long (pan-pipe artist).
German conductor Nicolas Pasquet said they will play some classic pieces of works by Mozart, Elgar and Dvorak after attending a workshop at the Mahidol Music Conservatory (Thailand) from October 6-12.
These Vietnamese talents were selected by the jury of the Mahidol Music Conservatory (Thailand) in August 2008.
The 25-member SEAYCO will perform in Vietnam next year.
