It has been unveiled that pianist Maciej Grzybowski will take centre-stage on December 2 at the opening of the European Music Festival in Ho Chi Minh City.

Pianist Maciej Grzybowski

Maciej Grzybowski’s artistic career began in 1990 in his homeland of Poland. Since then he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician and made numerous phonographic, radio and television recordings.

He was nominated four times for the prestigious ‘Polityka's Passports’ award. Two of his records – Bach, Berg, Mykietyn, Schönberg, Szymański and Paweł Szymański – Works for Piano, released by Universal and EMI Classics, were nominated for the ‘Fryderyk’ Polish Recording Industry Award.

As a soloist, he has performed at many international festivals along with such great artists like Martha Argerich, Paul Badura-Skoda, Grigorij Sokołow, Ivo Pogorelich, Piotr Anderszewski, as well as with the Arditti Quartet and the London Sinfonietta.

His interpretations of Bach, Berg, Schönberg, Szymański and Mykietyn show the touch of a genius, say critics. For more information on the European Music Festival 2016 in Vietnam, please visit http://www.eumusicfestival.com
