Nearly 500 artists from 8 foreign art troupes staged nearly 40 live performances during the five-day event, featuring distinctive cultural identities of each participating nation.

The success helps managers find out directions for the development of dance in the integration trend, towards the building of the brand for the festival, Bien said, adding that it also provides Vietnam with an opportunity to promote its image in the eyes of international friends.

Organisers awarded seven gold and 10 silver medals to participating art troupes.

Among the winners were ‘Mua Dom Dom’ (Firefly Season), ‘Canh Co Bay La Bay La’ (The Wings of Stork), ‘Le Kim Ma Do’ (Red Lekima), and ‘Mua Xuan tren ban H’Mong’ ("Spring in the Hmong’s village) of Vietnam, ‘Philippinescape’ of the Philippines, ‘A Deep Night’ of China, and ‘Fan Dance' of the Republic of Korea.
