Film on revolutionary soldiers to be shot

Ho Chi Minh City Television and Vietnam Film Studio will produce a film on revolutionary soldiers in Con Dao, known as “Hell on Earth”.

The film-making group will start shooting this historical film, “Prison Break”, on January 12^th in Con Dao, according to a press conference held on January 6^th.

The film is about revolutionary soldiers during different periods. Despite being imprisoned, badly tortured, and or killed in Con Dao, these brave soldiers kept fighting for national independence.

With the participation of the eminent director Le Duc Tien, scriptwriter Dinh Thien Phuc, and a cast of actors, Vo Thanh Tam, Thanh Duy, and Daifyl Smith, the film is expected to be shown on April 30^th on the occasion of the 36th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Unification.
