The exhibition features nearly 300 photos, display items, and documents summarizing the building, combat, and development of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and the outcomes achieved during 35th Whole-People's Defense Festive Day.

In his opening speech, Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum Senior Colonel Le Vu Huy emphasized that the exhibition aims to educate troops and the public, especially the younger generation, about the revolutionary traditions and glorious victories of the military and people in the struggle for national liberation, construction, and defense. It seeks to ignite the pride, patriotism, and revolutionary heroism while fostering efforts to build a strong people's defense posture, a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modernized VPA capable of firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new era.

The photos, items, and documents on display are invaluable resources preserved by the Vietnam Military History Museum and various military units. Many of them are being showcased for the first time. Outstanding items include five Gold Star Orders awarded to the VPA by the National Assembly, the State, and the Government; Certificates of Merits and First-class Military Exploit Orders presented to different forces by President Ho Chi Minh in 1948; a Heroic Armed Forces Unit Flag adorned with 154 medals awarded to Commando Regiment 367 by the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam.
